that less is more. You do not want to wear something dramatic or flashy
during the day but gear towards something simple and elegant fit for the
professional or nonchalant look.
Here are some great tips and techniques on how you can achieve a nice
eye shadow makeup for the day look.
Choosing colours for a day eye shadow
For the day look, choose an eye shadow colour that
is two shades lighter or darker than your natural skin tone. Apply the
eye shadow on your top lid. Apply two coats of mascara so to add more
depth to your eyes. Be careful not to over do your eye make up. Use a
good quality eye liner, gel liner or liquid eye liner to add a crisp
line on top of your lash bed.
Using eyeliner
If you have large eyes, do not put on too much eye
liner or eye shadow. If you have dark eyes, you can do without dark
eyeliner. To add contour to your eyes, you can use a dark neutral shade
and apply the eye shadow towards the outer corner of your eyes. Finish
the look with two coats of clear mascara. Don’t apply heavy eyeliner
since for a day make up.

Nude look
The neutral eye shadow day look is also popular
among younger women. This is a great technique to bring out the natural
beauty of your eyes. The neutral eye shadow make up adds attention to
your entire face and not just on your eye make up. The nude look is
perfect for a day look.
One colour eye shadow
People on the go use this technique. They simply
choose one colour of an eye shadow and use it solely on their eye. Pick
something natural looking that will brighten your eye and blend it all
throughout your eyelid being careful not to leave sharp lines.
Trio eye shadow
For your day look, you can also use the trio eye
shadow technique. Pick three shades of color of the same family. You
should have a light eye shadow, a medium one and a dark eye shadow. You
will use the light eye shadow as base, the medium eye shadow on the
crease and the outer corner of your eye and the dark eye shadow as liner
just above your lash bed.
